About

Deborah Parks, M.A., CCC-SLP

I grew up in California and received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of California/Santa Barbara. After graduation I did research for several years in the University’s Autism Research and Training Center. In 1990 I moved to Northern Virginia where I worked in the public schools before opening my private practice in 1992. I have been running daily group social skills classes since 2009.

I have always loved working with individuals who have social skills and executive function needs and I have over 35 years of experience working with neurodivergent individuals. I am licensed to practice in Virginia and North Carolina and I am a PEERS®

certified telehealth provider.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my three children, doing yoga, playing pickleball, and hiking in the mountains with my husband.
